YSpace North, backed by York University’s YSpace, is an entrepreneurship hub serving East Gwillimbury and Georgina. The hub offers startups and entrepreneurs mentorship, peer-to-peer networks, and coworking spaces. Y

Space at York University also supports diverse sectors through programs like ELLA for women-led businesses and the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance (BEA) for Black-led businesses. Entrepreneurs in East Gwillimbury and Georgina can access on-demand business support, both in-person and virtually, at no cost.

YSpace North is open to entrepreneurs 18+ who reside in northern York Region, primarily in East Gwillimbury, Georgina, and the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nations.

YSpace North keeps a list of local professionals interested in mentorship or facilitator roles. Responsibilities and time commitments vary depending on the program and the needs of participating businesses.

YSpace North offers workshops, networking groups, and access to co-working space at no cost. The program is made possible through a partnership between York University’s YSpace, the Town of East Gwillimbury, the Town of Georgina, with support from OMAFRA’s Rural Economic Development (RED) program. For additional working space, private study rooms are available at the East Gwillimbury Public Library branches in Mount Albert, Holland Landing, and Queensville.
