Sharon Museum and Gardens opens season with camps, cultural days, car shows

Sharon Museum and Gardens is launching its 2026 season on Wednesday, May 20, with highlights including summer camps, and celebrations on June Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, and Canada, as well as car shows.

Nestled in the heart of Sharon in East Gwillimbury, the museum offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and community connection through tours, hands-on educational programs, and a vibrant calendar of events for guests of all ages, a news release said.

Regular Season Visitation

Beginning May 20, Sharon Museum and Gardens will be open for regular visitation until October 2026. Hours of operation are Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. Stop by to discover the history of the community of East Gwillimbury and the remarkable story of the Children of Peace, a visionary community whose commitment to democracy, equality, and peace left a lasting mark on Canada. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the historic grounds and buildings, explore interactive educational programs, and participate in community events that celebrate local heritage and culture.
